Camp Work - pastel portraits, poems, photos and pic collages!

Here are some closeups so that you can read the delightful poems too!
Cinquain poems are structured with a certain number of syllables per a line.
2, 4, 6, 8, 2 is the pattern.
With a bit of word hunting using a thesaurus, the students came up with
some amazing "wow" words and phrases.

Class of 2016 - Our Treaty

Whiria te Tangata
Weaving People

As part of preparing our treaty, we each designed a weaving strip.  These strips here represent each unique and amazing person in Room 9.  There are lots of things shown that are meaningful and enjoyable to each of us - culture, language, sports, music, and nature for example.

Each strip has been woven together to create a pretty cool piece of class art.  Just as we can have a pretty cool year if we weave together our learning, and efforts to keep our treaty promises.
