Nikau Caves
We were discouraged from taking photos in the actual caves, but we do have a few photos of us throughout the day involved in the creating and making activities. Mrs Gilbert put my camera to good use and snapped some lovely pics. More can be found on our school website - class page - media. The children will also be uploading any photos they feature in, to their individual portfolios under media.

We can't wait to take you all next week!
All I can say is that glow worms and stalagmites totally rock!

That Whiteboard Table...
Loving our whiteboard table for collaborative work. Here the Newtons maths group is revising how to "jump the numberline and use tidy numbers" to solve an addition problem. Each child completed a step then passed the pen on to the next person. With confident use of the strategy, they moved onto much more difficult problems after this!

Home Learning Challenge - Mandolin
Mandolin shared her research about the Amazon Rain Forest which contains half of the remaining tropical forests on our planet! It's strange to think that people want to chop down the very trees which our planet relies on to survive!
