Sharing Lily's Collage

I love eating pineapple in summer time!  I'm really proud of my collage because it's taken a few days.

Torn paper everywhere making for a big clean up at the end of the day - but for a good reason!  Look at the amazing collages getting patiently put together piece by piece.

Technology - Planning Future Playgrounds

Designing playgrounds and creating models was such a fun, motivating learning experience with all children thoroughly immersed in the task.

The models only had to be examples of chosen playground equipment rather than whole playground designs, but one group begged to differ finishing their entire playground as a model version including toilets!

Playground Drawings

We have been practising drawing the playground outside our classroom.  This is in preparation for drawing our own "future" playground designs for technology.

We were so impressed with Lily's sketch and the depth perception skills shown!

Collaborative Research on Playgrounds

As part of our Technology unit on Future Playgrounds, we have started thinking and talking about our favourite playgrounds and what we like about them.   We have also started researching inspiring playgrounds and have posted helpful links on a class padlet to help each other.   See below.

A Rainy Day - Calendar Art

A couple of weeks worth of rainy days prompted an idea for our calendar art.   Instead of stormy and dreary, we injected drizzly colour and a puddle dancing pose for fun!  Watercolour has been used for the background and felt markers for the people.

Orders for calendars and cards will be taken at the beginning of next term, so our art is ready early.  If you want to have a quick nosy before then, the folder will be sitting on my desk for the next couple of weeks and then will be handed into the office for later viewing.
