Change of Student Blog platform - from Blogger to Kidblog
We are changing our student blog platform! Although I love the clean, uncluttered layout of blogger that allows you to simply scroll up and down to view posts, it is not so child friendly in terms of access to our work on google drive and uploading onto our blog. The students' earlier posts will be transferred over to the new blogs. Room 9's general class blog will remain the same.
Kidblog is a safe, supervised platform for children to have their own blogging account. To access their blogs, visit TeamMrsBell's blog page.
This page shows a list of the children's blogs.
For students to access their blog accounts: select login, on the top, right hand corner. A list of students' first names will appear. Students just need to select their name and enter a password to get to their individual blog pages. There, they may read posts, start a new blog post or leave a comment on someone else's blog. Users must be logged in to view or create posts and comments. As we are beginning our individual blogging journey, posts will not be public at this stage, but can be read by classmates, other classes we connect to, and also parents once you have connected to your child's blog.
All blog entries are first sent to me, as moderator. I will assist with editing if necessary, and approve entries before they post. Please let me know if you have questions.
Parents please follow the instructions below to connect to your child's blog:
1. Go to TeamMrsBell's blog page and click on Log In (top right hand corner)
You will be taken to a Log In page where your child can select their name and enter the password
2. Go to dashboard top right hand corner
3. Click on invite parent and type in parent email to receive an invite
4. Parents to check personal email for the invite and follow instructions
You should now be ready to sign in as your leisure by going to the class url and then clicking on the login button (top right hand corner).
Please note that if you sign up with a google account it seems you must be signed in with this google account before going to the class login page and clicking on login (top right hand corner).
Your name should then appear to show that you are logged in:
