As part of our Technology unit on Future Playgrounds, we have started thinking and talking about our favourite playgrounds and what we like about them. We have also started researching inspiring playgrounds and have posted helpful links on a class padlet to help each other. See below.

A Rainy Day - Calendar Art
A couple of weeks worth of rainy days prompted an idea for our calendar art. Instead of stormy and dreary, we injected drizzly colour and a puddle dancing pose for fun! Watercolour has been used for the background and felt markers for the people.
Orders for calendars and cards will be taken at the beginning of next term, so our art is ready early. If you want to have a quick nosy before then, the folder will be sitting on my desk for the next couple of weeks and then will be handed into the office for later viewing.

For Te Reo we looked at sports related vocabulary and learned other language through playing games such as knuckle bones and cards. We also translated picture books written in Te Reo and by using context cues and words that we already knew.
